Beginners Domestic Course
This course aims to provide a through insight into the practical aspect of carrying out domestic electrical installation work to give you a taster into the industry. You will then be able to study the 2365-02 on completion of this course if you wish to study to become an electrician.
Who is it suitable for?
This course is aimed at individuals who want to have an insight into the work of a domestic electrician or require a greater knowledge of how domestic electrical installations are installed.
During your study you will cover a range of knowledge and skills across domestic areas including the installation of lighting circuits, ring final circuits and radial circuits including cookers and immersion heaters.
What the course covers?
This course covers basic electrical theory including earthing systems, ohms laws and basic cable calculations. This also includes the installation of lighting circuits, radial circuits and ring final circuits with the use of Ohms law.
What career can this lead to?
You will not receive a qualification when this course is completed but an awareness into the industry. This course can lead to taking further qualifications and becoming a fully qualified electrician carrying out commercial, industrial and domestic installations or becoming a accredited electrician on a competent persons scheme.
